1,2-cyclohexene oxide(CHO) is an important raw material for organic synthesis. Many kinds of organic intermediate are prepared from it. 1,2-cyclohexene oxide is mainly used in agriculture pesticide raw material, dyestuff, medicine intermediate, resin modifier etc. Aiming at the development demand of national economy and linking the actual conditions of domestic chemical industries, study and research on the application of 1,2-cyclohexene oxide are performed in this paper. Hydroxyl-terminated poly(l,2-cyclohexene oxide), Hydroxyl-terminated copolymer of cyclohexene oxide-tetrahydrofuran(THF) and Hydroxyl-terminated copolymer of cyclohexene oxide-epichlorohydrin(ECH) have been synthesized.Firstly, with the orthogonal design method and single-factor-experiment, the technics of synthesizing Hydroxyl-terminated poly(l,2-cyclohexene oxide) have been studied in this paper. Particularly, the influence of reaction temperature, different categories and amount of catalysts, initiator amount and reaction time on polymerization results are refocused. An excellent technics to synthesize hydroxyl-terminated poly(l,2-cyclohexene oxide) is obtained as follows: boron-trifluoride ethylether is used as a catalyst in the amount of 2.0 mole percent based on 1,2-cyclohexene oxide, initiator amount is 1.0 mole percent of 1,2-cyclohexene oxide, reaction temperature is 0℃, reaction time is 5 hours. A colorless transparent viscous product is obtained. The yield of polymer can up to 91.4% and the average molecular weight is about 1100. A polyurethane resin is synthesized by using this polyether. The polyurethane material has high hardness, wearability, high clarity and excellent heart-resisting property.Secondly, with the orthogonal design method and single-factor-experiment, the technics of synthesizing Hydroxyl-terminated copolymer of CHO -THF have been studied in this paper. Particularly, the effect of reaction temperature, catalyst amount, the molar ratio of THF and CHO, initiator amount and reaction time on copolymerization are studied. An excellent technics to synthesize hydroxyl-terminated copolymer of CHO -THF is obtained as follows: boron-trifluoride ethylether is used as a catalyst in the amount of 1.5 mole percent based on CHO and THF, initiator amount is 1.0 mole percent of CHO and THF, the molar ratio of THF and CHO is 0.5, reaction temperature is 0℃, reaction time is 4 hours. A colorless transparent viscous product is obtained. The yield of polymer can up to 95% and the average molecularweight is about 3500. A polyurethane coating is synthesized by using this copolyether. The polyurethane material has high adhesive force, excellent resistance to shock and high glossy property.Thirdly, with the same experiment method mentioned above, the technics of synthesizing Hydroxyl-terminated copolymer of CHO -ECH have been studied in this paper. Similarly, the effect of reaction temperature, catalyst amount, the molar ratio of ECH and CHO, initiator amount and reaction time on copolymerization are studied. An excellent technics to synthesize hydroxyl-terminated copolymer of CHO-ECH is obtained as follows: boron-trifluoride ethylether is used as a catalyst in the amount of 1.5 mole percent based on CHO and ECH, initiator amount is 1.0 mole percent of CHO and ECH, the molar ratio of ECH and CHO is 2.0, reaction temperature is 0℃, reaction time is 6 hours. A yellowish transparent viscous product is obtained. The yield of polymer can up to 98% and the average molecular weight is about 2500. A polyurethane coating is also synthesized by using this copolyether. The polyurethane material has high adhesive force, excellent resistance to shock , high glossy and good surface luster property.
