In course of automatic arc weld, a sensor is pivotal to realize auto-tracking of welding line. Through researching the theory of arc sensors and characteristics of CO2 shielded welding, in this paper, we adopt the way of discrete integral for arc current to judge the warp between welding line and welding torch. The precision of discrete integral for arc current is important to the tracking system. To improve the precision of the tracking system, it is necessary to increase sampling frequency and the quantity of data. The general singlechip could not meet the demand of this system, so we select digital singles processor, and design the hardware of this system. The control system's hardware circuits include DSP's peripheral circuit and signal disposal circuit. The process of short circuit transition in CO2 shielded welding is non-linear and with many influencing factors, and it is difficult to find an ideal model for control, so fuzzy control is used in this system.In this thesis, an arc sensor based on fuzzy control has been developed, which is designed for CO2 shielded welding, and the simulation of control system has been carried out on MATLAB. At last, the feasibility of the parameters self-adjusting fuzzy controller is validated by experiments.
