Foundry technology belongs to an industry which quality is very difficulty to guarantee, and the waster rate is very high. All kinds of the phenomenon come on during the foundry producing affect the production's performance such as mechanic and physical performance, and quality heavily. It becomes a common aim included improving the cast quality, reducing the produce cost and shortening trial time. The numerical simulation of solidification and casting provide basis for the CAD of foundry technology. This provides capability for dealing of the problem. It involved cast theory, solidification theory, diathermanous science, engineering mechanics, numerical analysis, computer graphics and so on. It is a synthetic and complex major.The method and technology about cast solidification numerical simulation is stress studied in this paper, and the application of these in realistic procedure. The research aim including analysis and compare all kinds of method's performance, make use of suit way simulating the cast solidification, require getting good simulation effect, and simple mutual relation.This paper has studied the current cast solidification numerical simulation form five aspect. First, analyses and discusses the mathematic model, compute the FDM equation, and program realize the rapid cast solidification computer simulation dynamic method. Second, compare all kinds of method's performance that deal of hidden heat, adopt and implement the temperature restoring method. Third, discuss all kinds of shrink hole forecast method, optimize the G method, and finally apply it duringthe cast solidification procedure. Forth, analyses the macro segregation's dealing method, implement a thickening time method. Fifth, study and analyses methods about the heat crack come on during cast solidification. Sixth, finally develop a program by using visualization technology to simulate the cast solidification procedure. It has a rapid running velocity, more specific result, dynamic procedure, simple operation and a clear interface.
