Room and coal pillar are the fundamental structure of room and pillar method. The design of Room and coal piljar is the core in the room and pillar method. Only coal pillar has enough strength, it can ensure the stabilization of the support. Pillar mining method under shallow depth of burial and thin bedrock in Mine of ShenFu and DongSheng has some problem, for example of HuoLuoWan mine, Because the coal pillar are small and can't satisfy the need of secular stability, we must study the parametric optimization of working face.This thesis lay stress on two sorts of coal pillar. One is coal pillar inside the area, the function of it is to support rock layer above the ore bed during mining, and can collapse in time after mining. The other sort of coal pillar is partition coal pillar, the function of it is to close off a smaller mining area and make the rock layer above the ore bed can't collapse continuously. On the basis of numerical simulation and observation in situation , we bring forward the project of the parametric optimization of working face.
