Under the middle or low impact, the ability to resist wearing of the high manganese steel is low. So the high manganese is replaced by the medium manganese. And the chemical composition of the medium manganese is designed. In order to improve the ability to resist wearing, the medium manganese specimen is treated by quenching and temper. Thus the austenitic, carbide and troostite structure are obtained. Then a variety of properties are test. The results show that, under the middle or low impact, compared with the high manganese quenched at 1080℃ , the hardness of the medium manganese tempered at 600℃ is higher ,and the resistance to wearing is better. Though the impact tenacity is lower, it can reach 1.52 MJ/m2 and meet the demand.
