The experiment of emulsion copolymerization of butadiene-styrene-2-vinylpyridine was carried out in the presence of national petrochemical raw materials andadditives in order to eliminate the present state that the preparation technologyof PSBRL has dropped behind and the quality of national products have a weakcompetition. The general type PSBRL adaptable for nylon fiber dip solution wasresearched in this paper since the nylon thread was largely used in all kinds ofthreads. In this paper, butadiene, styrene,2-vinyl pyridine were used as monomersto prepare PSBRL by emulsion polymerization. The mechanical stability and adhesionstrength were confirmed as properties index of PSBRL, and the effect of the recipeand the conditions of the polymerization on the properties of PSBRL were studied, and the conclusions were showed as followings. The recipe and reaction conditions of polymerization of PSBRL were primarilyselected by uniform design experiment. The result showed that the amount of K-ROSIN,the temperature of reaction ,the velocity of stirring have a significant influenceon the mechanical stability;and the amount of t-SH,KPS, the temperature of reactionhave a significant influence on the adhesion strength of PSBRL. The critical valueof those factors were obtained from the data processing. Mechanical stability was set as the main index of PSBRL properties after thesystemic consideration. The effect of the amount of K-ROSIN, the temperature ofreaction, the velocity of stirring on mechanical stability were studied by orthogonaldesign experiment based on the former conclusion. The result reveals: the amount ofK-ROSIN of 5.17 phm (Parts of Hundred parts of Monomers), the temperature of reactionof 60℃,the velocity of stirring of 990 r/min were the optimized selection, and thecoagulate floccules content is 0.016(wt%) after the mechanical stability testing.More factors that maybe have effects on the mechanical stability were furtherconsidered by advancing the emulsified system, changing the amount of other additivesand reaction conditions. The results disclose that the optimized polymerization ofPSBRL is that R:F=4:1 type emulsified system of 4.67 phm which should be added inreaction system in three times was selected with initial water volume of 106 phm,pH value above 9.5,the amount of Na2EDTA above 0.08 phm and with the monomer conversionpercent of 92%. The coagulate floccules content is 0.006(wt%) and the adhesionstrength reach 139.4 N/c after the product have been tested.
