Study On Preparation Metallic Soaps With Waste Oil & Fat, Their Characteristics And Applications

Waste fat & oil, which comes from families and cookeries, is a source of environment pollutions. But it is a good reusability resource. More and more people begin to concern of the problem how to deal with waste fat & oil. This paper focuses on the technology of preparing metallic soap with it, and study on the characters and applications of the productions.Calcium soap is an important industrial stuff and additive. The technology of preparation propriety calcium in calcium soap and high production rate is studied. The best technology conditions are found. For know the physical and chemical characters of calcium soap, density and crystalloid structure are detected. Thermogravimetry Analysis (TGA) and Different Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) are used to detect other thermal characters of the production. These characters are compared with calcium stearate. Many characters are similar. It is possible that substitute calcium soap for calcium stearate in some fields.It is studied that calcium soap is used as thermal stabilization of PVC. The results show that the stabilization function is good. Metallic soaps are used as thickeners in lubricant grease. Lithium soap grease, lithium complex soap grease and lithium-calcium complex soap grease are studied. These greases have high drop point.
