Research On The Impacts Of Urbanization On The Eco-service Function In Three Gorges Reservoir Area

Eco-system is a kind of multi-scale coupling dissipative system, and there are complicated coupling relationships between its structure and function. The flow and transformation of energy, material, and information within the ecosystem form the eco-function. That is to say, eco-function depends on its structure, on the other side, eco-function can also feed back to the structure. With the intensification of human activities, the structure and function of ecosystem are more and more profoundly affected by the human activities. As the most typical representative of the process of the human disturbance, urbanization not only creates the unprecedented things in nature, but also impresses the surrounding environment. Research on the impact of various urbanization periods on the ecosystem at various scales not only has important practical value to the regional environmental protection, but also has the important theoretical value to the urbanization process for the future of our county, especially for the ecological city construction.The Three-Gorge Project is the biggest water conservancy project since the establishment of P.R.C. The construction of Three-Gorge Project not only influences the hydrologic elements and the aquatic organism, but also influences the environment and the urbanization surrounding the reservoir deeply. Regarding the Three-Gorge Reservoir Area as research area, this paper analyzes the influences of various urbanization periods on the eco-function in the Three-Gorge Reservoir Area based on the statistic data and TM imaging data, and establishes the corresponding relation between the urbanization process and the sustainable development of eco-system.This article is composed of five chapters: Chapter One describes the main condition of the Three-Gorge Reservoir Area; Chapter Two introduces the developing process of urbanization in the Three-Gorge Reservoir Area, and evaluates the urbanization level of 22 countries in Chongqing Reservoir Area; Chapter Three evaluates the ecosystem service of 22 countries in Chongqing Reservoir Area; In Chapter Four the urbanization level and the ecosystem service of 22 countries in reservoir are compared to analyze the relationship between urbanization and ecosystem service. Chapter Five puts forward to some countermeasures about the possible ecological problems in the process of urbanization.Because of the lack of the corresponding data, the selection of urbanization indicators and eco-service indicators are incomprehensive. During the process of analysis, the influence mechanism analysis of urbanization on the ecosystem service is not very embedded.
