Gas explosion Accidents imperil the safety of producing and miners' life badly. Erecting seal walls is an effective solution to prevent gas explosion. Existing seal walls adopted widely in mines have some shortcomings such as capability of antidetonation is not excellent and constructing is complex. This paper brings forward a new-style fast antidetonation seal wall in mine. It has better capability of antiexplosion and takes less time to build than the existing ones do. New-style seal-filling hydrogel for mine that this paper emphasizes on determines the application of this new-style antidetonation wall. Based on interrelated theory about High Polymer, high water-absorbing resin and technics of application, this paper analyses and expounds the technics of gel formation, the mechanism of synthesis and hydrogel theory. This paper lays stress on gelling time, stability and mechanical properties in view of technics and application. First, the effects of the water temperature, initiator, accelerator and crosslinking agent on gelling time , which decides the time of erecting seal wall, are studied by experiments. Secondly, forecast model in the predication on permanence capability has been founded on grey forecasting, and applied in the experiments. And then, taking the syneresis as a ratio, the stabilities of seal-filling hydrogel after heated are investigated under the conditions, such as the different temperature of water, heating, concentration of initiator and the heating time by experiments. Finally, effects of the amount of monomer, crosslinking, accelerator and initiator on mechanical properties are studied by experiments. According to the stress-shear curve and different function of the four components, this paper concludes the changing rule of elasticity and intensity of the material. In addition, the inflexion where modulus of elasticity changes by stages is also found out.
