As a mixing equipment in the process of sewage treatment, submersible mixer works in wastewater which contains solid particles. While as a dynamic seal on the motor shaft, the reliability of the submersible mixer mechanical seal is directly related to the normal operation of the submersible mixer. Aiming at solving the problem of the failures after the submersible mixer motor's long-time running in sewage, this paper designs double mechanical seal which adapts to the sewage environment, as well as it can effectively reduce the amount of seal leakage and strengthen the flow properties of the seal cavity. Based on the structural design of the mechanical seal, calculating the performance parameters and the sealing performance of mechanical seal are analyzed of sewage side seal and motor side seal.Faces flow field model of upstream pumping seal is established by using fluent flow field analysis software, as well as reflux upstream pumping seal with possesses dynamic pressure effect and the reflux pumping effect is verified. It compares and analysis the variation of reflux upstream pumping seal parameters changes in different of operating parameters and structural parameters of the dynamic pressure groove, and gets the recommended values of reflux pumping seal structural parameters. Orthogonal optimization method is used to analyze the combined effect of structural parameters of the dynamic pressure grooves to the dynamic pressure opening force and the pumping amount of reflux. The optimum combination of the dynamic pressure groove structure parameters is obtained.The flow field model of sealing cavity is established. The mixing situation of strengthen the flow properties of the seal cavity and common seal cavity is compared and analyzed, and the impeller in favor of the fluid flow is obtained. This paper analyzes the impeller structural parameters influence on the impeller stirring efficiency and gets the recommended values of impeller structural parameters. Orthogonal optimization method is used to analyze the combined effects of impeller parameters on the stirring efficiency and obtain the optimum combination structural parameters of the impeller.A Submersible mixer mechanical seal testing device is built for studying the sealing properties. The test of reflux upstream pumping seal performance, strengthen the flow properties of the seal cavity and seal power performance is accomplished.
