This thesis fully presents Parallel Machine Tool of home and foreign, and its researchful actuality. Moreover, comparatively analysis advantage and disadvantage of parallel machine tool at present in detail and the innovation of 5-UPS parallel machine tool. Analyzed the kinematics,statics and dynamics of the PMT systematically and fully. The constitutes and characteristic of the PMT is introduced. The degree of freedom of the mechanism is calculated. The kinematics analyses of the constraint limb and driving limbs are taken in. The inverse kinematics solution of the driving limbs is given.Influence coefficient matrix of the PMT are educed. The force status of the PMT in machining processes with external cutting load is analyzed in detail. The 6-dimension external load acted on the moving platform is shared by five driving limbs and the middle limb.The middle limb not only withstand the moment along normal of Huke joint plane,but also withstand a portion of moment produce by five driving limbs. A flexible finite element stiffness model of lathe bed is presented and analysed.The rigidity of the PMT is verified. The dynamics of the PMT is analyzed.Through the calculation of kinetic energy and potential energy of the parts,using Lagrange method to build the dynamics model of the PMT.Through the dynamics of Adams simulation, the relationship of driving force,movement and load is educed.That offer the basis theory to select the servo motor and the possibility of machining. UG and VB combined to realize the process simulation.The processes of a ball coronal and turbine vane are simulated. Finally,the structure is improved and the parameter is optimized for improving the static ability of the PMT.
