Through reading and summarizing many documents, this paper firstly introduced the CAD/CAE technology and its developing situation and trends in the domestic and international in modern production. Found that the traditional product design mode can't already meet the need of the morden produce. CAE has become an integral part of the design process and play a key role. Rubber are used extensively in many industries because of their properties and low cost, so there is an important meaning in rubber components finite element analysis.Rubber is a very unique material: It can undergo large defomations;its load-extension behavior is markedly nonlinear;its viscoelastic behavior and nearly incompressibility. So proper analysis of rubber components require special material modeling and nonlinear finite element analysis tools. This paper studied the rubber nonlinear hyperelastic model; basic experiments and rubber nonlinear finite element theory.Through the rubber components finite element analysis by examples of mechanics,heat chansfer,and fracture mechanics aspects, we found that the rubber FEA can simulate the real work condiction of rubber components, predict mechanics behavior and determine whther it is reliable or not; compute the strain energy release rate, according to this value we can prodict the life and judge the intensity; analysis of the thick rubber component curing process with FEA,the temperature field at different times were given, this is the primary condition to predict cure level in thick rubber component and make the cure terms. All these proved the feasibility of FEA in the rubber components optimum design, and establish the foundation of optimizing the structure , compounding, moulding the rubber components, durability and new product development in the future.Through rubber components FEA in several aspects , we find that the advantages of Rubber FEA include: improved performance and quality of the finished product; faster time to market;optimal use of materisls; weight savings; verification of structural integrity before prototyping; and overall reduction of development and...
