Supercritical Water Oxidation(SCWO) have been received much attention by many countries as an advanced reaction technology.With the rapid development of automobile industry,more and more waste tires are discarded and faced with reusing.Treatment of waste tires is becoming more important for environmental protection due to the properties designed into tires that make them strong and chemically resistant also inhibit their ability to be recycle easily .This paper trys to provide some information and evidence for recycling of waste tire using supercritical water oxidation method.A SCWO apparatus is designed and set up in the paper.The apparatus includes a batch reactor and other components.Sample from a used automotive tire are subjected to study in subcritical and supercritical state,and hydrogen peroxide is used as oxidant .The results show that fuel oil and carbon black solid residue are obtainedA lot of experiments are carried out to study the influence of various factors on the oil yield and carbon black yield such as reaction tempreture,reaction pressure ,reaction time and concentration of hydrogen peroxide.The results show that:First, concentration of hydrogen peroxide have the most obvious influence to oil yield and carbon black yield,with the increase of concentration of hydrogen peroxide the oil yield first increase then decrease,when concentration of hydrogen peroxide is 8.19% or so,the oil yield reach to the biggest value, and with the increase of concentration of hydrogen peroxide carbon black yield decrese;Then,reaction time have more obvious influence to oil yield and carbon black yield,oil yield increase but carbon black yield decrease with the increase of reaction time;Thirdly,reaction tempreture have some influence to oil yield and carbon black yield,samely,oil yield increase but carbon black yield decrease with the increase of reaction tempreture;Finally,reaction pressure does almost no influence on oil yield and carbon black yield.The conclution can be obtained by the experimental study that SCWO is a promising remediation alternative to the waste tire treatment.It can be obtained 1.5%~4.75% oil yield when Methylene Chloride are used an extraction solvent to recover the oxidation products from the aqueous product phase.Also, it can be obtained 19.3%~43% carbon black solid residue.Some experimental studies illustrated the ability to efficiently break down the waste tire...
