With the high-speed development of updated technology and industrial production, the exploitation scales of mineral sources have been rapidly expanded.At the same time,resources position of the earth come increasing austerity, the problem of increasing reclaim rate of mineral sources and recycling of the tailings has drawn much attention of the human community. It has been proved that it is an effective approach to backfill the fields with tailings. The method of High Density Backfilling is especially popular for many advantages such as powerful backfilling ability, a little amount of dehydration, high intensity of the backfilling materials and so on. High-density full-tailings slurry system and transport of the backfilling slurry through pipes are the key technologies. To tackle the foregoing problems, the research into how to increase the density of tailings and to reduce the friction resistance accompanied with the transportation of slurry is the highlighted focus of such kind of research.In this paper, the development and updated application of high-density back-filling method during metal mining were described, and several typical metal mining methods with high-density back-filling were introduced. Also, with aim at the complexion of backfilling system in mine, a new idear of flow-water slurry device and forming plastic slurry with excellent fluidity by the method of adding drag reduction additives into high-density slurry to reduce the power loss & raise the density of transporting slurry during the course of pipe transporting was brought forward.The research objective about backfilling with fulltailings was set in the Wangershan Gold Mine & some laboratory experiments with full-tailings from gold mine wereconducted. Physical characteristic and settling characteristic and permeable characteristic and gel-forming characteristic and flowing characteristic of fulltailings were experimented and analyzed in this paper. It was proved that high-density back-filling of tailings from Wangershan Mine have many benefits such as high intensity and little amount of dehydration and quick settlment rate.A high-density slurry system was established in the mine and an air flowing slurry device in vertical tapered tail-storehous was improved. The weight of tailings nearby expand nozzle has been decreased and liquefied by activation medium which was finished by high pressure water-wind from muzzle. This mode has many benefits such as bigger area and even granule and high-density and easy domitation. The maximal flux was 80.38m3/h and maximal density was 76%.Flowing parameter and plastic parameter and sinking rate and transport parameter and this mine transport system on the high density slurry were experimented and analyzed. Self-flow transport method using chemical additives was introduced mainly and its principle was explained and pipe line pressure was serveyed.
