Water disaster is one of the main disasters in coalmine. The degree threaten by the water disaster becomes worse as the mining levels extended and depth deepened. It is necessary and urgency to detect latent structures and water-bearing bodies in the floor of working face with high precision and high efficiency. The resistivity computerized tomography (CT) technique is of important theoretical and realistic significance because it can detect the water-bearing bodies in the floor of working face.Based on modeling test in water tank, this paper employed three different iron blocks to model water-bearing bodies and enclosed plastic pipes or rounded wood strips to model roadways. It gave physical modeling of water-bearing bodies in the working face floor with parallel Bipole-Dipole method, made analysis on the character of electrical field and the law of apparent resistivity changing when the low resistivity abnormity bodies were placed flatly close to water level under semi-space condition and were placed flatly, vertically or aslope to the water level under whole-space condition. Through comparison, it displayed that the â–³U/I curve and apparent resistivity curve have a good effect close by the abnormity body. However, the whole-space condition can resist more disturbance than semi-space condition. In the respect of data interpretation proceeding, the paper carried out the inversion calculation of experiment data with the resistivity CT method, gave some study on the image effect when the iron bodies were placed flatly close to water level under semi-space condition and were placed flatly, vertically or aslope to the water level under whole-space condition. The images manifested that the abnormity iron block' s position through resistivity CT inversion fitted well with the actual one of modeling test in water tank. Finally, the trial on spot to water-bearing bodies detection in the floor of working face 3901 further proved the resistivity CT method is of better effect...
