Heterogeneous photocatalysis by semiconductors has unique advantages in water pollution control, especially in the treatment of waste water containing poisonous organic compounds which are hard to be destroyed. In this thesis, the preparation and characterization of photocatalysts of nano-sized titanium dioxide dopped with ions have been carried out. Meanwhile, photocatalysis of cochineal aqueous solution has been experimentally studied considering its strong application background in wastewater treatment. Besides , Photocatalytic degradation reaction kinetics of cochineal has been investigated.First, Nano-sized titanium dioxide doped with ions were prepared by homogeneous precipitation method. The construction of the photocatalysts were characterized by TEM, XRD, DTA and IR. The results show that the TiO2 doped with Pb and Zn can transform to crystal of anatase at lower temperature than pure TiO2 The crystallographic forms and diameter of the samples are great affected by calcined...
