At present, the size distributions of doped TiO2 powders prepared by hydrolyzing is always wide. The uses of doped TiO2 are almost focus on the aspect of protection of environment. In this paper, we studied the method of preparing narrow distributed doped TiO2 nanometersized powders by metal titanium hydrolyzation and their applications in the rearrangement reaction. Especially , the rearrangement reaction (also named isomerization) of converting styrene oxide to phenylacetyldehyde were investigated. In this paper, we also studied the method of preparing SO42-/TiO2 by vitriolic titanium boiling regurgitant hydrolyzation and applications of SO42-/TiO2 in the preparation of iso-amyl acetate.At first, the method of preparing nanometer doped TiO2 by the hydrolyzing Ti(OBu)4 was investigated. In the ameliorated experiment, we droped butyl titanate ethanol solution to the solution containning triethanolamine ,ethyleneglycol monomethyllether and Pb(AC)2, and then the nanometer Pb/TiO2 particles were made,by circumfluence,filtration,drying,calcinations. If we droped butyl titanate ethanol solution to the solution containning triethanolamine , ethyleneglycol monomethyllether and La(NO3)3 , the nanometer La2O3/TiO2 particles were made by circumfluence,filtration,drying and calcinations.The optimal conditions of the preparation of nanometer Pb/TiO2 particles and nanometer La2O3/TiO2 particles were investigated. The size, size distribution, appearance and composition of the catalysts were observed by XRD, XPS, SEM and IR. The results showed that the sizes of dopants were reduced, and the size distributions were narrowed.Studies on application of the nanometer Pb/TiO2 and La2O3/TiO2 in the orienting rearrangement reaction of converting styrene oxide to phenylacetyldehyde were performed. Yield of phenylacetyldehyde was measured. The composition of catalysts were studied preliminarily. The reaction mechanism was described in accordance withthe general reaction mechanism reported in literatures. It is suggested that the catalytic activities of nanometer Pb/TiO2 and La2O3/TiO2 increased. When the mol proportion of Pb and TiO2 is 3%, yield of phenylacetyldehyde is highest, that is 94.1%.When the proportion of weight of La2O3 and TiO2 is 0.8%,yield of phenylacetyldehyde is highest, that is 90.7%.Applications of the nanometer SO42-/TiO2 as catalyst in the preparing of iso-amyl acetate were investgated . Product was approved by IR, determinng of boilling point and refraction rate. Yield of iso-amyl acetate is 98.25%.
