In the process and relevant industries, accidental releases often occur in the production, storage and transportation of flammable, explosive and toxic materials. These accidents will lead to not only economic loss but also catastrophic consequence. These may include economic cost and casualties not only in the plant area but also in area outside the plants, especially the irreversible damage to the environment. Developing the study on accidental release and simulation of emergent sealing is crucial important for chemical and petrol-chemical industries to establish emergence plans and organize the emergence rescue by the social emergence service.First of all, model of industry accidental release and dispersion process was discussed in this thesis. A new heavy gas dispersion model—LTA-HGDM was developed on the basis of analyzing the existing models, which has the advantages of simplicity, good simulation precision and rapid calculation. Aiming at the process of the accidental release, establishing the relevant mathematic model is the basis of the simulation assessment analysis. Simulation assessment method integrates the mathematic models of the accidental release and dispersion process into computer technology. It will enhance the technical level of the safety assessment, and this method will be helpful and necessary for complement to simulation assessment methods.Release and dispersion processes of typical accidents in petrochemical production have been simulated and analyzed with corresponding simulation assessment methods. Process and affecting areas of the accidents are anticipated so that the hazards and harms of evaluation units or the systems can be more visually and intuitively realized. In this thesis, based on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), computer simulation and database technology, software named Release and Urgency Sealing Simulation for Hazardous Material System V1.0 was developed. There are two parts in the software: learning system and simulation training system. The release of hazardous materials could be simulated on different conditions; firemen could be trained on the virtual surroundings. The software system could be one of the most valuable tools for firefighters training.
