The preparation and applications of metalloporphyrins and their derivatives have drawn extensive interests recently. The present dissertation mainly focused on the preparation of new metalloporphyrins and their polymer-supported derivatives, their catalysis activities were also examined for oxidation of cyclohexane and photodegradation of methylene blue.Chapter one: The preparation and applications of the metalloporphyrins were reviewed, and the classification of the polymer-supported metalloporphyrins was introduced.Chapter two: Four metalloporphyrins were synthesized by metal insertion reaction, the metalloporphyrins were further linked to the side chain of the copolymer of acrylic nitrile and acrylic acid with condensation reaction to obtain polymer-supported metalloporphyrin. In addition, two novel tailed metalloporphyrins were synthesized, and their structures confirmed by UV-vis, IR and ~1H NMR.Chapter three: As t he model c ompounds o f c ytochrome P-450, t he m etallo-porphyrins and their polymer-supported derivatives were applied to catalyze the oxidation of cyclohexane with molecular oxygen to cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone. Factors affecting catalytic activities were invesstigated.Chapter four: The p olymer-supported m etalloporphyrins w ere i nvestigated a s the photocatalyst for the degradation of methylene blue. It was found that the decolorization efficiency could reach as high as 64.6% after 6 hours' illumination with natural sunlight, indicating the high photocatalytic activity of the polymer-supported metalloporphyrins.
