This thesis consists of four chapters.Chapter one: Introduction of oxidation of alcohol by dioxygen into the correspondingcarbonyl compounds.Chapter two:Synthesis, Crystal structure and Catalytic character of Cu(pyc)2Complex Cu(pyc)2 is synthesized from 2-carboxylpyridine, CuSO4.6H2O in EtOH, and we get the single crystal of Cu(pyc)2 by hydrothermal synthesis. The catalytic oxidation of alcohol by oxygen into the corresponding carbonyl compounds in the presence of EtONa under mild conditions has been investigated. The catalyst is effective in oxidation of allylic and primary aliphatic alcohols. Chapter three: Synthesis of Salen and Salan complexA series corrdination compounds are designed and synthesized with salen, salan ligands and Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) ions. A novel functionalized nanoporous coordination polymer is synthesis by "two-step self-assembly".Chapter four: One-pot Synthesis of 5-Alkoxycarbonyl-4-Aryl-3,4-Dihydro-pyrimidin-2-Ones catalyzed by CuCl25-Alkoxycarbonyl-4-aryl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-ones are synthesized by the one-pot reactions of aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate and urea, using a catalytic amount of CuCl2 in ethanol. The modified Biginelli cyclocondensation not only shortens the reaction period and simplifies the operation, but also improves the yields.
