Ecological restoration is an essential measure of recovering degenerate ecosystem and improving ecological environment. The study was based on the different ecological restored ecosystems(no-treatment, rough restoration, intensive restoration, and prohibited management) in Mashan eastern mountain in Wuxi city, and mainly focused on comparing the vegetation characters and soil properties of the different ecosystems, as well as the drought resistances of various plants, and investigating that the different ecological restoration measures exerted influences on the plant community and soil properties, and the relationships between the plant community and soil properties, besides, the plant ecological adaptability to drought adversity. The results showed as follows: (1)From no-treatment(Contrast) to rough restoration(Treatmentâ… ), intensive restoration (Treatmentâ…¡), and prohibited management(Treatmentâ…¢), community plant growth condition took a turn for the better, and floral composition, as well as plant ecotype became more and more abundant, and simultaneously, vegetation cover, species richness, diversity, and evenness gradually increased. Furthermore, in the direction of arbor, shrub and herb, plant species richness, diversity, and evenness by and large followed an increasing trend. The result showed that ecological restoration would promote vegetation restoration. (2) The species richness, diversity, and evenness indices of arbor layer and shrub layer in different plant communities had correlative uniformity. Because of jamming and growth randomness, herb vegetation cover was not even, species diversity indices were different. At the different growing seasons, species of the different ecological restored plant communities changed greatly. Among them, the levels of floristic similarity of the different plant communities from high to low was as followings: no-treatment>rough restoration>intensive restoration>prohibited management. (3) From the analysis of soil main physical and chemical property indices, it was known that the different ecological restoration measures would improve soil property in varying degree, and improved effect was better to upper layer. According to these indices being markedly correlative, it was explicated that various soil factors were interrelated, and had effect on vegetation restoration together. (4) Plant community character and soil property were interrelated to an extent. The relationship between vegetation restoration and soil improving was interaction. After soil property reached a level, plant would settle and grow, up to form perfect community structure. Accordingly, some established vegetation made positive sense to improve soil physical property, and fix, convert and store soil nutrient, and then improve soil integrated quality. (5) By adopting coordinate comprehensive evaluation and subordinate function of fuzzy mathematics to evaluate the levels of drought resistance of each plant, it was indicated that Buerger Maple(Acer buergerianum Miq.) was best, Seatung(Pittosporum tobira Ait.) and Negundo Chastetree Fruit(Negundo Var. heterophylla) were better than Firethorn(Pyracantha fortuneana) and camphortree(Cinnamomum camphora), China Tallowtree(Sapium Sebiferum Roxb.) was worst.
