The law of nano-CaCO3 dispersed in PS was studied contraposing the problem of inorganic particles difficult to disperse in polymer by melt blended methods to prepare polymer/nano-inorganic particles composite. The surface chemical structure of CaCO3 was studied by infrared spectrum analysis and evolved gas analysis, and the surface absorbing free energy(-AG) was testified by inverse gas chromatography, and the cohesive strength and the internal friction coefficient were studied by direct shear experiment. The results indicated that there was chemical bond between coupling agent and nano-CaCO3; the dispersion degree of nano-CaCO3 was the best and absorbing free energy(-AG) to non-polar probe was most, and the cohesive strength of nano-CaCO3 was the lowest when the dosage of couple treating nano-CaCO3 was 1.5%wt.PS/nano-CaCO3 composite was prepared two-roll open mill. And the transmission electron microscope(TEM) photos were taken to observe dispersion morphology of nano-CaCO3 in PS. The TEM photos of nano-CaCO3 filled in PS were treated by image analysis software. The...
