Extrusion technology as a kind of high efficiency and high quality ,the low consumption one does not have little processing technologiesof smear metal, have been developed rapidly in the plasticity of themetal material is processed. At present, the application in suchdepartments as the machinery , light industry , civil , space flight ,war industry , electric apparatus ,etc. is extensive day by day, havealready become indispensable importance in the process technology ofplasticity and processed one of the means. However, the ones thatextrusion die and designed are unreasonable, while working, one ofcorners in cavity, it can be more serious that the stress concentratesphenomenon, like this, die can produce flaw at one of corners in thecavity in type often after some time, with the constant enlargement ofthe flaw , cause the fracture of the die finally. So, in order to givefull play to the superiority which extrusion technology, it is extremelyessential to the research of the life-span of the extrusion die.The level of the life-span of extrusion die is to weigh one of theimportant indexes which the quality of the die, it not only influencesproduct quality but also influence the productivity and cost. There isa lot of factor that influences die life-span, to select suitablematerials with implementing correct hot treatment technology isfoundation to guarantee die life-span. But the design of the die is evenmore important to extrusion success used. If die design unreasonable,choose one different material can increase the life-span of the dieperhaps, but until the design of the die is rational , could make thedie receive strength evenly while working , stress centralized andlittle , difficult to receive partial year, best production capacityof die in this way realize.numerical simulation of extrution figuration is one of field aboutthe front subject of metal plasticity process. With the development oftechnology of the computer , have already begun to adopt the computermodelling technique to guide die design both at home and abroad. Throughtake shape mould of course go on high-accuracy number value calculatepinching, can understand in an all-round way the stress in the courseof extrusion moulding is distributed , predict the appearance of thecrackle , provide for designer craft analysis and scientific basis ofdie design, thus can improve the designing quality of the mould andshorten the design cycle of the mould .
