1,1,1,3,3-pentachloropropane is the intermediate of 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane.It is prepared by radical addition reacting carbon tetrachloride with vinyl chloride in the presence of catalyst.Through the steps such as distillation filteration and vacuue distillation, the product are seperated from compounds.The product can be determined by the ways of qualitative analysis such as NMR,GC-MS.The contents of the product is 96.0% by the GC.Through the research of influencing factors ,the best process can be obtained as follows: the acetontrile (12% quality of reaction compounds ) is the solvent,n(CCl4):n(VnCl)=1:0.3,the reaction temperature is 110℃,the reaction pressure is 0.5MPa,the reaction time is 5h, the cuprous chloride(1.5% quality of vinyl chloride) is catalyst,the tri-alcohol amine(the equality quality of cuprous) is the promoter.The ratio of yield can be reached 72%.The influence of the catalyst which the cuporous chloride is absored by the activated carbon is researched.It can be obtained that the ration of the yield is decreased with the incresaement of the activated carbon's diameter,To the catalysts which the cuporous chloride not absorbed, the solvent ,reaction time,reaction pressure and the ratio of raw materials are not changed, the reaction tempetature is increased from 110℃ to 130℃,the reaction increased from 5h to 6h. The applying of activated carbons is the base of the process improveing .
