Maillefer-Screw is one of the most widely used new-style screw in the plastic processing. It has the merits of steady extrusion, little pressure fluctuation and stable metering zone. Because of the solid bed separated from the melt pool, it can prevent the phenomenon of the breakup of the solid bed, therefore the Maillefer-screw is more widely used in the plastic processing industry.The excellent performance of the Maillefer-screw is mainly lying on the auxiliary flight. The height of the auxiliary flight and original setting position and length of it determine the separating efficiency and the Maillefer zone length of the Maillefer-screw respectively.The main research of the theories includes: l.On the basis of five section circular flow theory presented by professor Zhu Fuhua , the channel transaction of Maillefer Zone was marked off several different sections , then the mass, momentum and energy equation in each section were calculated and the mathematic model of the Maillefer screw was established.
