To resolve the problem that the performance of domestic die-casting machine is unstable and the rate of fault product is high, we reconstruct the hydraulic system of a 2800KN die casting machine for a certain company. The former control system was updated to a proportional control system, we also design a particular proportional cartridge valve featured with fast response and a controller used for controlling proportional valve. In order to verify the feasibility of the project, we simulate the control process using the simulink's tool box in Matlab. The contents of each chapter is described as follow:Chapter 1: Introducing the background and importance of the project, then analyses the development status of die casting machine and and electro_hydraulic control. At last, we point out the work which we will do in this paper and the requirement of the control system.Chapter 2: Introducing simply the die casting machine, then describe the main components of a 2800KN machine and its functions. The working process of the machine and the craft course is also discussed.Chapter 3: Based on analyzing limitations of the existing electro_hydraulic control system for 2800KN die_casting machine, the former control system was reconstructed. In this chapter we also study how to design the particular proportional cartridge valve.Chapter 4: Study how to design a controller used for controlling proportional valve, the correlation parts is discussed.Chapter 5: Mainly introduce the simulation of the particular proportional cartridge valve. During the simulation, we consider the influence of different PID parameters to the simulation results.Chapter 6: focus on the computer simulation, to know whether the design is feasible.Chapter 7: Summarizing the functions which is achieved in this paper, and analyzing the gap between domestic and oversea. We also point out the improvement direction of future work.
