Polyacrylamide resin was synthesized and applied since 1960s,the method of synthesis ,the functional groups and applications of above productions in many industries was studied continually . A series of product resin was prepared by aminolysis of macroporous polyacryamdne resin ,the products of resin was different by using different kinds of methods of aminolysis and agents.Polyvinylamive resin was prepared by Hofmann degradation of polyacrylamide ,it has active primary amine groups ,content of functional groups reactions ,as well as high water absorbent structures ,so polyvinylamine resin has a wide usage in many fields .There are a little of documents to introduce synthesis and properties of cross-lined Polyvinylamine resin. Because synthesis of cross-linked polyvinylamine was limited with many factors ,such as complicated technology and high cost, so the study of this issue would be benefit to theory and use in all kinds of industries. In this paper,firstly the author applied cross-lined polyacryamide resin by using non-ion water, acrylamide and N,N—dimethyacvylamide with initiator , the colour of the PAM is from white solid to no colour colloid. Secondly,in the conditionsof -10℃salt-ice solution using PAM ,saturated NaClO, NaOH solution and non-ion water synthesize cross-lined polyvinylamine resin(PVAm·HCl) and white solid PVAm by means of Hofmann degradation,.the effects on cross-lined PVAm concentration were studied ,the best condition of Hofmann degradation, the consistency of NaOH is 12 mol/L, the rising degradating level is with droping the cross-linking level, such as the cross-linking level is 10%,the degradating level is 42.8%; the cross-linking level is 0.5%,the degradating level is 80.4%. The choicest absorbing capacity of the cross-lined PVAm towards metalion (Cu2+,Fe3+,Cr3+,Ni2+,Zn2+)was discussed, the degradating level is 74.4%, the absorbing capacity to Fe3+ is 1.872 mmol/g, and water absorbency was studied in non-ion water ,the best condition is that the cross-linking level is 0.5%,Qeq=648g(H2O).The properties and stucture of these compounds was identified by Elementary Analysis,IR, TG . Lastly, trialkylamine and quatermary amionc were synthesized by the cross-lined PVAm, formic aicd , formaldehyde and dimethyl sulfonate in different kinds of solvents.
