Poly-lactic-acid(PLA in short)is a kind of polymeric compound polymerized from building of PLA which derived from maize starch by means of fermentation among microorganism. PLA has good processing and using property, good biological degradability as well. There will be a bright perspectives for PLA to be applied in garment, industry, decoration field and so on.PLA fabric has good comprehensive performance in several aspects such as strength & elongation, comfort ability, formative property etc. Concluding from contrast of test between PLA fabric and other samples and analysis on "fuzzy cluster analysis": PLA fabric has similar mechanical property with acrylic fabric and polyester blend cotton fabric, with higher strength & elongation, being similar with acrylic fabric in wearing comfort ability index, with a better moisture conductivity, moisture permeability; being similar with viscose fiber about molding index, meaning softness-hand feeling and a nice overhanging property.Concerning the PLA fabric design, appropriate yarn twist, fabric cover factor, weave tissue should be selected carefully, doing our best to utilize the characteristic of moisture-conductivity, moisture-permeability, softness, overhanging for PLA fabric. The several fabric designs in following article can meet such demand. Accompanying with strengthening of consciousness of environment protection and energy, more and more PLA fabric, enabling to be degraded naturally, will be developed definitely.
