In this paper , the condensation reaction of tetraethylene glycol and p-Toluenesulfonyl chloride gave tetraethylene glycol ditosylate which reacted with resorcinal to yield m-bis[(11-tosyl)-3,6,9-trioxaundecyloxy]benzene (compound 5). The reaction of 4-vinylbenzyl chloride with diethanolamine gave compound 3.The Cyclyzation reaction of compound 5 and compound 3 afforded the vinyl type Monomer ( compound 6) by nucleophilic substitution under high dilution Conditions.The vinyl type macrocylic aza crown ether was characterized by 1H-NMR, LC-MS and GPC. The radical polymerization of compound 6 and copolymerization with styrene or acrylomitrile gave the corresponding polymers.
