In this paper, we first introduced the main research progress about crown ethers and preparation of two vinylbenzylmonoaza crown ethers(VCE) from 4-vinylbenzyl chloride and monoaza-15(18)-crown-5(6) ethers . As novel synthetic strategy we used N-(4-vinylbenzyl)- diethanol amine and tri or tetraethyleneglycol ditosylate as starting materials. Then, using the two vinyl azacrwon ether monomers polymerization and cocolymerization with Styrene (ST) by different ratios .The monomers and the copolymers were characterized by means of 'H-NMR.We also succeeded in synthesizing monoaza-w-phenylene -34-crown-ll derivatives. At first, we synthesize the m-Bis(ll-tosylate)-3,6,9 -trioxaundecyloxy) benzene from Tetra(ethylene glycol) ditosylate and 1,3-dihydroybenzene . The latter it is reacted with the diethanol amine and diethanol amine derivatives to give the macrocyclic compound. This is a very important step to synthesize functional polymer and novel ployrotaxanes compounds containing macrocyclic monoaza crown ether at branch.
