Photocatalytic oxidation degradation organic wastewater and inorganic membrane separation technology are concerned extensively. A novel photocatalysis-membrane reactor integrated photocatalytic and membrane technology is designed and processed in the paper. The study focuses on the photocatalytic degradation lower concentration of methyl orange solution .The optimal conditions of the TiO2 photocatalytic degradation methyl orange solution are determined. In addtion, the reaction mechanism on photocatalytic oxidation degradation is studied.A mathematical model of the integrated reactor is developed. The systematic studies have shown that the photocatalytic degradation of lower concentration of methyl orange solution is accorded with the first-order kinetics law. According to the experimental results, the optimal pH is 2; the optimal dosage of TiO2 varies from concentration of methyl orange solution, kinetic constant k decreases no matter the dosage less than or excess optimal dosage; k increases as the increase of ultraviolet light intensity and decreases as the increase of solution volume;as the increase of the transmembrane pressure, the decrease of cross-flow velocity and the increase of membrane flux, k decreases; the effect of the solution temperature on the photocatalytic reaction accords with the Arrhenius law.The reaction mechanism on photocatalytic oxidation degradation methyl orange is discussed elementarily in the paper. The imaginable mechanism about the formation of the reaction intermediate , N2 and NH4+, and about the removing of SO3-, CH3 and further oxidation, and phenyl degradation is put forward.A mathematical model of the integrated reactor has also been developed in this paper. The theoretical results deduced by the model can qualitatively fit the experimental results.
