Heavy metal pollution, man-made chemicals pollution, such as POPs and EDCs, man-made sources of sulfur in the atmosphere are always the main research topics of environmental science. And secondary pollution and compound pollution are the frontier of environmental science. Mine environment pollution includes all these pollution patterns. The research on mine environment pollution is necessary and meaningful. In this paper, we study the formation and the migration of the compound pollution between the typical mineral reagents and heavy metals. The main contents are as follows:1. The internal cause of heavy metal release in the mine area;2. The distribution and migration of mineral reagents in the condition of compound pollution, and the field-experiment of a mine.3. The secondary pollution of mineral reagents when being illuminated by UV light.4. The impact of compound pollution on the migration of heavy metals. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Minerals' acid neutralizing capacity, net acid producing potential and net acid generation are the main causes of the release of heavy metals. They can also be the important parameters to represent the release of heavy metals. However, in the condition of compound pollution, it is inaccurate to use these parameters to represent the actual release of heavy metals.2. In the condition of compound pollution, with the impact of the frothers and inorganic chemicals, the leaching distances of some deleterious mineral reagents, such as cyanide, ethyl xanthate, et al., increased obviously. These reagents migrate to the-bottom of the mineral tailing dam, where mineral tailings existed. In that place, these reagents reside for a long time, and their polluting patterns are versatile. All these will intimidate the environment of mine area.3. When being illuminated by UV light, most mineral reagents will engender secondary pollutants. These secondary pollutants include some deleterious chemicals with big molecule, which are hard to degrade. They also include some chemicals with small molecule, such as acetone, acetaldehyde, et al. And these secondary pollutants of mineral reagents can enlarge the scale of pollution, and increase the complexity of pollution.4. In the condition of compound pollution, mineral reagents and their secondary pollutants can form a kind of organic compound- heavy metal complex. And it changes the depositing forms of heavy metals, and activates the heavy metals, and prolongs their migration distances. It will endanger the mine environment, and increase the difficulty of recovery. To sum up, the most dangerous and typical characters of compound pollution in the mine is that the influences of every kind of pollutants, such as heavy metals, CS2, POPs, and etc., are strengthened, concentrated, and enlarged. This research involves the field of environmental chemistry, environmental organic chemistry, environmental geochemistry, environmental photochemistry, atmospheric chemistry, and etc., and study manifold of pollution patterns. Mineral compound pollution is the most typical example of compound pollution, and the research on it will conduce to the development of compound pollution research.
