A Study On Quality Control In The Map Reproduction

With the development and application of DTP(Desktop Publishing system),map making and printing has already been transformed from traditional craft based on handwork to full digital map making in Chinese. It combines traditional map making and plate making which were done by different special persons into one work, now this work is fulfilled by special mapper. Comparing to centrality and speciality of traditional craft in map production, map making and printing in current technology have the characteristic of decentralization and non-strict-speciality. Owing to the mapper's lack of printing knowledge, map making can't be linked up to following working procedure(map printing) preferably; additionally current map making and printing based on computer technology are short of systemic and effective quality control means and method. This thesis studies quality control of map making and printing based on CtF workflow, the main contents are as the following:1. Analysing and discussing the key elements of map making quality control based on CtF work flow.2. Establishing the evaluation madel of map making and printing quality.3. Based on the characteristics of map making and printing, manufacturing one kind of electronic test strip suited for the quality control of map printing. This test trip can examines and controls the targets in printing process by vision check and implements measure:4.
