Shoot-squeeze molding(DISA) line has been widely used in our country with enormous economic value for its particular advantages such as automatization and better cast quality, However, the traditional manufacture cycle of mold needs superabundant time, which constrains its effectual application in the enterprise seriously. In order to upgrade the competitive power of the corporation in the market, this paper emphasizes on the parameterized design, the NC machining technics of the mold and the simulation of the casting process. Some achievement was achieved as following. (1) Brings forward parameterized design of the casting mold by using the WAVE function of Unigraphics(UG). Parameterized design conveniences the modification and increases the design efficiency of the mold. (2) Studies on the two-face processing technics of the foam model. During this process, the application of the foam model manufactured by NC machine not only heightens the precision of the mold blank, but also shortens the manufacture time of the mold. (3) Realizes the integration of CAD and CAM of the mold by applying the NC codes created in the UG CAM, and optimizes NC machining technics according to the characteristic of the mold. These achievements enhance the manufacture efficiency of the mold with high precision. (4) Simulates the flow field of the metal liquid in the mold during the course of casting, which can be used to verify the rationality of the mold design..
