Nowadays,water resource is short increasingly.Treated sewage can be used as the stable source of water in our country and foreign nations.The thermal power plant is the big consumer of water supply of the city industry.There are some advantages that the municipal sewage treated secondarily by the sewage treating plant is reused to be the circulating cooling water in thermal power plant according to the water quality and quantity,the processing technique and economic performance,and it is important practically for the situation of our country that water resource is short and pollution is very serious. First,in light of the investigations of Fuxin city's actual circumstance and the qaulity demand of the circulating cooling water in thermal power plant,draft reasonable processing project,and use the method of imitatation to experiment,handle the rationality and the function of the project with the verification.The imitational experiment was carryed on from August 5 to September 1 in 2005,and the conclusion is drawn that the imitational experiment in the best parameters show the treatement technology of the micro-flocculent fiber ball filtration and disinfection by chlorine is completely applicable to treating the municipal sewage treated secondarily,and the material of fiber ball has long service life,and the water quality is stable,etc,and good treatment results can be achieved to the quality of the circulating cooling water in thermal power plant. Then,the cost analysis of reused water was carried out,and the rusult of the cost is 0.42 yuan per m3.The cost is more superior to the cost of 2.5yuan per m3 for the city supply water,so it can saves a great deal of fund,and it can benefit both sides of municipal sewage plant and thermal power plant,consequently,it has obviously benefit of economy.In this paper some existent problems in the imitational experiment were discussed,some problems are given homologous suggestions,but some problems still need the further experimental research. Finally,according to analysises of imitational experiment's results,the treatement technology of the micro-flocculent fiber ball filtration and disinfection by chlorine is more suitable in present to the circulating cooling water in thermal power plant,and it has lots of benefits to economy,environment and society.
