Through analyzing the law that the metal liquid flowed, this text sets up mathematics model of filling process of casting. The govern equations are derived with staggered grid and finite difference method to deal with pressure field of chessboard and velocity field of the waveform. The relation between three dimension subscript and variables position is adjusted to deal with the problem of accessing data when the data of four grid systems is saved in one data structure which strengthens the readability of the procedure and facilitates programming. Flowchart of program is developed on basics of the SOLA algorithm. Volume function is solved with iterated algorithm under adopting the three-dimensional situation to deal with that the process is complex when volume function is solved with VOF which simplifies the computational process. Based on momentum equation, continuity equation, 62 kinds of states of flowing out of fluid after being full of surface cell are programmed separately to deal with that the error is too big when speed border of the freed surface is solved with continuity equation, which has improved the precision of calculating.Thermal parameters of different materials used frequently in numerical simulation calculation are concentrated together. Thermal parameters database is set up with ADO technology, users can add, revise , delete and search the thermal parameters of various kinds of materials, not only has improved working efficiency, but also is very convenient to manage the thermal properties of casting materials. The authorities of user can be limited which strengthens the.security of the data.With Microsoft Visual C ++6.0, the OOP (Orient Object Program) are used in developing the software of numerical simulation of filling process of casting. The results got this procedure are compared with the results of Benchmark test. According to the compare, the two are identical basically, which proved that the software can reflect the flow rule of liquid metal objectively basically and can be used in numerical simulation of filling process of casting.
