Polypropylene( PP),as one of thermoplastic synthetic resins,has been widelyused in extensive purposes, The market of PP has been developing in present years.Now,PP has become the third plastic(the polyethylene is the first and the polyvinylchloride is the second) and played more and more important role in polyolefin resins.In 1970s production process of the polypropylene in a bulk polymerization hadbeen developed in China by ourselves. This technique is fit for refinery plant toproduce the polypropylene using the refinery gas, because it has some merits, such asthe process is short, the equipments is simple , the investment is little and the effect isquick .Meanwhile the technique has some limitations: the quality of product isunstable, the breed of product is single, the cost of production is higher.This paper aimed to overcome the weakness on the craft, joining together thedemand of the market, We had optimized the technique of PP production, byrefining the raw material , controlling reaction, recycling the gas, reducing theconsumption. As a result ,the consumption of the propylene and the cost ofproduction are reduced greatly. From 2001 to 2003 the consumption of the propylenedropped from 1.29 to 1.08 and the cost of the polypropylene substitute 4,300RMBs/ton in 2003 for 5,300 RMBs/ton, There is near 5,000,000 RMBs benefit everyyear. Both product quantity and automation in control have greatly increase.
