During the work of this thesis, the author thoroughly researched the GAIM. For settling the problems of GAIM, the process design of GAIM was concluded, the rule of affection for GAIM process by gas channel structure and gas process parameters was revealed, furthermore, the setting functions of gas process parameters were created, and writing a calculation software system to convenient for application.In the GAIM process design research, with in-depth analysis of GAIM procedure and gas penetration behavior, as well as combined with current achievements, the GAIM components thickness and structure design criterions, gas channel layout and dimension design standards, GAIM molds design rules and process parameters setting method were summarized.In the way of GAIM process parameter optimization, MPI, that is mature plastic molding CAE software, created several typical GAIM models of different gas channel dimensions. Confirm key factors and targets, through using orthogonal experimental design, find out principal and subordinate sequence of process parameters, such as short shot, gas duration time, delay time, gas pressure, simulated process of these models, recorded and mathematic analyzed process parameter datum, established functions between gas channel dimensions and the GAIM process parameters. With these expressions, we can easily figure out the optimized gas injection parameters and predict the gas channel penetration length. By experimental model and actual model, verified experiments were executed and the above conclusions were proved to be relatively. correct and helpful for the design of GAIM process..Finally, using VB as system platform, developed GAIM process parameter calculation software system. So, according to gas channel dimensions that product designer designed, the average engineering technician that needn't know very well GAIM process knowledge can utility the software system to work out optimization parameters of GAIM process. This is more convenient for application.
