The college is an important institution in which government train person with ability. Along with deepening of high education's reform of our country, the change of campus' area, amount of students, function of the college bring on new demand to security management of campus. Campus' security catch peoples' attention. Nowadays science and technology develop fastly, changing the security and safeguard measure of campus by technology is an important way to build a safty campus.Security and safeguard system of campus (SSSC) is general technology system which utilize the technology of morden communications and computer, capturing all kinds of singal by infrared detector, microwave detector, electromagnetism detector, fire annunciator and video monitor, transmitting singal by wire and wireless, preventing and controlling the accident in campus by multimedia computer. This paper suggests that the SSSC should include three parts: singal carturing, transmitting and disposing.In order to finish the mission of campus' security management, consulting the characteristic of campus, this paper suggests that design of SSSC should include the design of vedio monitor system (TV monitor system), security alarm system and assistant system(power supply system and lightning conductor system).The process of SSSC design is analyzing the condition of campus, making certain the important parts, control the important parts, constructing the monitor center, laying the cable and choosing the equipments.Demonstration study is the design of SSSC which carry into execution in campus of Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. Function testing and security effect appraising indicated that the design could meet the demand of security management's aim.
