A two-SBR denitrifying and phosphorus removing system was studied in this research. The processe has many advantages, such as high efficiency, energy saving and less sludge etc. So the new technology is being pained more and more attention by environmental engineering experts. From the experiments I get the main conclusions as follows.1. During the start-up process of two-SBR system of denitrifying and Biological phosphorus removal, The influent concentration filled of ammonium nitrogen should be according to the denitrifying ability of the DPB (Denitrifying phosphorus removing bacteria), 30~40mgN/L is an appropriate range. Considering the start-up process of two-SBR system of denitrifying and biological phosphorus removal, continuous follow at A-SBR is better than transient influent.2. When the sludge loading of system is low (0.5~0.6gCOD/gMLSS.d), the optimal C/N value is 3.75. The removal efficiency of phosphorous is 93.5%~100%. When the sludge loading is high (1.26~0.96gCOD/gMLSS.d), the optimal value of C/N is 3.41. The removal efficiency of phosphorous is 70%~96.6%.3. The higher pollution load of sludge made the system become more sensitive to the C/N.4. Based on the ASM2 and Delft metabolically model, the paper simulated the process of the two-SBR system of denitrifying and biological phosphorus removal. This study used the Delft model to simulate bio-P removal and activated sludge model No.2 to simulate COD and N removal. The following simulations confirmed experiment conclusion that an influent biodegradable C/N=3.75 mgCOD /mg N, C/P>15 mgCOD/mgP and 9~12d is an ideal range of SRT.
