Aniline aerofloat(dianilino dithiophosphoric acid), with its molecular formula (C6H5NH)2PSSH, is an organic flotation reagent used frequently in vulcanized mineral flotation. The absorption effect of activated carbon and the coagu-flocculatio effect of ferrous sulfate were investigated in this paper. Fenton oxidation was applied to purification possibility research in simulated wastewater with aniline aerofloat. Both treatment methods of NaClO and Fenton were conducted in the flotation wastewater. The oxidated mechanisms of NaCIO or Fenton reagent were also explored and discussed in the paper, providing the choice of flotation reagents for clean production and process of wastewater abatement.The research showed Aniline aerofloat decomposed spontaneously in very small extent. The COD of simulated wastewater with Aniline aerofloat can hardly be reduced by adjusting the pH value of the solution.Activated carbon can reduce COD of simulated wastewater and flotation wastewater.When the dosage of activated carbon was 800mg/L, the removal rate of COD reached 59.8%, comparatively, the COD removal rate of plant flotation wastewater reached 37.6% when the dosage of activated carbon was 400mg/L. The COD value decreased from 683.68mg/L to 426.54mg/L.The concentration of Aniline aerofloat and COD of simulated wastewater can be reduced efficiently by Coagu-flocculatio effect of Ferrous Sulfate. When Ferrous Sulfate was applied to treat simulated wastewater, the optimal conditions were pH value 67.5, [FeSO4]=700mg/L, in which condition the removal rate of Aniline aerofloat and COD reached 90% and 91.1 % respectively.The optimal conditions of Fenton reagent in treating Aniline aerofloat simulated wastewater were pH=4, [Fe2+] = 1.83g/L, [H2O2]=5.55g/L, water bath heating for 2 hours in constant temperature(30℃), in which condition the removal rate of COD be 84.2%;Fenton reagent can reduce efficiently COD of plant flotation wastewater, when the reaction condition were [Fe2+]=5mg/L, [H2O2]=1.8g/L, pH3.5, the removalrate of COD was 96.8%.NaCIO can reduce efficiently COD of plant flotation wastewater, the optimal conditions were pH 4, [NaClO]=100g/L, reaction time 30 minutes, in which condition the removal rate of COD could be 98.3%. The affecting factors were NaCIO dosage, reaction time and pH in turn.The UV absorption spectrum of Aniline aerofloat wastewater was depicted and the mechanism of remducing COD of Aniline aerofloat wastewater was also discussed.
