With the rapid development of chemical industry, the discharge of volatile organic compounds increases. The discharged waste gas has heavily destroyed the human being's environment. Few research and papers induce optimistical future of high toxicity acrylonitrile waste gas treatment for domestic acrylic fibres manufactures. Acrylonitrile gas treated by chemisorption and active carbon adsorption were experimentally investigated, and the practical engineering based on the research has an efficient result.Sodium hydroxide solution was selected as absorbent according to different composition of acrylonitrile waste gas, which includes SO2, from acrylic fibres factories. Influence of sodium hydroxide solution concentration temperature and contact time on absorption efficiency were investigated. Experiment shows a absorptivity bigger than 96% obtained under conditions of sodium hydroxide solution concentration no less than 2%, 60~70°C and contact time no less than 3.8s.With speediness and high efficiency, sodium hydroxide solution chemisorption proposed a availability process for acrylonitrile waste gas treatment, which present important reference for designing acrylonitrile absorption tower.Asorption of acrylonitrile gas with active carbon on 40℃ was studied, which proposed a good adsorbing agent for acrylonitrile waste gas. Equilibrium adsorbance of adsorbing agent was acquired by homeostasis process. Data processing was proposed by Langmuir Equation under wide range concentration. Langmuir Constantwas obtained with q_e= 221.78 mgg~-1, K=8.76 KPa~-1. Acrylonitrile gas adsorbingpenetrating line of different concentration on active carbon can be forejudged by establishing linearity dynamics model.A composite process design of acrylonitrile gas applying chemisorption and active carbon adsorption was proposed based on experiment results. Exhaust gases treated by the composite process agreed with Atmosphere Contamination Let-out Secondary Standard of China (GB16297-1996)...
