High-speed motorized spindle technology is of great significance to the research and development of high-speed machine tool. Compared with conventional spindle, motorized spindle is equipped with a built-in motor, so that power transmission devices such as gears and belts are eliminated and "zero transmission" is realized. High-speed spindle is notorious for its sudden catastrophic failures even without alarming signs at high speed due to thermal problems. So severely limits the effective application of high-speed spindle. The heat generated due to loss in the built-in motor and friction in the bearings is significant during high speed machining and the thermal deformations of the spindle decrease the accuracy of high-speed machine tool greatly. The thermal analysis of the high-speed spindle is necessary in order to reduce temperature-rise and thermal deformations. In this paper, from the structure and electromagnetism design of the motorized spindle electric motor is summary first. Compared with electric machine design, Although the high-speed motorized spindle electric motor is same to common electric machine design in design method and process, But based on its structure and mode of drive operation, put forward the following principle. In this thesis, which heating is the main cause affecting service life of motor spindle is obtained with the structure and working condition analysis for high-speed motorized spindle. Based on the deterioration and heat transmission the main causes for heating of the spindle are studied, then the effective measures are put forward such as choose low friction ceramics ball bearing, use oil gas lubricating system , the rational bearing structure, select proper electromagnetic project for increasing efficiency and reducing deterioration, raise processing precision of motor spindle runner .Through the thermal analysis of the high-speed spindle, put forward to choose the rational bearing washer structure through the experiment analysis of oil fog lubricating system to improve the thermal characteristics of the motorized spindle.
