Investigation On Indoor Air Pollution To Health In Decorated Houses

The decorated houses have already been popularized extremely along with the economical development and the people living standards enhancement. Some new materials, new coating's using, which emitted many kinds of pollution, has become significant air pollution origin in decorated houses. The air pollution in the family decorated houses is the significant widespread topic, which arouse attention by science along with the economy and the society development at present. Objective This paper makes clear the important pollution,the pollution condition and the effect to health in decorated houses through analysis of formaldehyde, ammonia,TVOC and investigation of people's health. Method Using the group sampling method, selected decorated houses from 1-2 plots which including same scales and same constructions within 6 months decorated houses at five areas in Changchun, then selected the inhabitants according to stochastic form as the monitors. The formaldehyde and the ammonia are collected with the solid phase adsorption gas sampler, the volatile organic compounds with the Tenax GC sampler, analysis according to the national standard procedure. Simultaneously investigation the volume to 379 inhabitants, understanding pollution to the health influence of family decorated houses. The investigation includes 202 households, 379 persons, 201 household's formaldehyde, 97 household's ammonia, 50 household's TVOC densities. Result 96.02% formaldehyde surpasses the national standard, which exceeds the allowed figure 10 times, total mean value is 0.41mg/m3, is 4.1 times of national standard. 2.66% ammonia surpasses the national standard, total mean value is 0.081mg/m3, conforms to the national standard. TVOC completely surpasses the national standard, total mean value is 4.14mg/m3, is 6.9 times of national standard. 15.12% is above 10 times of national standard, nearly one half inhabitant TVOC density is above 5 times of national standard. The formaldehyde and VOCs are the main air pollutions in decorated houses. Epidemiology investigation about 12 kinds of symptoms show that the three symptoms include "the eye stimulated, tears flowing , the fear light for eye"; "the nose stimulated, blocking, the nose stimulated"and "dry for the pharynx and larynx, mute the sound ", which prompt that the three symptoms are possibly the main symptoms of health effect in decorated houses. The result single factor analysis demonstrates: the formaldehyde exposition quantity is connected with the central nervous system responds, the eye, the nose and the throat stimulated, along with the formaldehyde exposition quantity increasing, three kinds of symptoms formation rates also increase. The multi-factors statistical analysis result demonstrates, the age and the formaldehyde exposition quantity are dangerous factors of the central nervous system response, the respiratory system response and the skin allergic reaction. The formaldehyde exposition quantity increases 5mg/m3 every time , the central nervous system responds, the respiratory system responds and the skin allergic reaction risk increases separately 2.833, 2.452, 3.102 times . The formaldehyde exposition quantity is the dangerous factor of the eye, the nose, the throat symptom in the decorated houses. The formaldehyde expositionquantity increases 5 mg/m3 every time, the danger increases 8.751 times. TVOC exposition quantity are dangerous factors of the central nervous system symptoms and the respiratory system symptoms. The central nervous system symtoms and the respiratory system symptoms increase separate 2.776 times and 2.044 times along with TVOC exposition quantity increasing. Conclusion The formaldehyde exposition quantity is connected with the responds of central nervous system, symptoms of the eye, the nose and the throat, responds of the respiratory system and skin allergic in the repaired room. TVOC exposition quantity is connected with the central nervous system responds and the respiratory system responds in the repaired room.
