Moisture in substance is one of the important factors which determine its physical,chemical and biologic character. The accurate and fast determination of moisture has great significance. Traditional loss on drying is a standard method measuring moisture and is employed by many fields. Though it has accurate result, it consumes much electric energy. How to quicken moisture measurement is the hot research content and the puzzle of moisture determination technique all along. This paper starts with two aspects which are to improve drying efficiency, quicken moisture escaping and information fusion prediction and explores a feasible and effective way to implement fast measurement of traditional loss on drying. The thesis presents a new high-speed moisture analyzer which combines microwave drying equipment and electronic balance and is one the basis of information fusion, gives the constituents of analyzer and its operating principle, represents the mechanism of microwave drying, and presents and establishes an automatic microwave power controlling method with PWM based on sample's drying process. On the basis of large quantity of experiments, this study the primary form of sample's moisture escaping curve in the microwave drying, brings forward and establishes information fusion predicting model of moisture measuring based on loss on drying. And the method utilizes the multivariant nonlinear regression and has restricting function with threshold. Emulation and experiments prove the effectivity and the accuracy of the predicting model. On the premise of high degree of accuracy, the information fusion predicting method provided by this paper can reduce measuring time of traditional loss on drying from 1-4 hours to about 10 minutes. The information fusion predicting theory can solve many problems of traditional method such as long measuring time, great power consumption and so on, improves measuring efficiency greatly and has wide market prospect. The paper consists of 5 chapters: The first chapter introduces the information fusion's development and application, expounds the great significance of moisture determination and the current moisture measuring methods,points the technological problems to be solved immediately of the traditional loss on drying, discusses the feasibility to shorten the long measuring time and reduce the great power consumption of traditional loss on drying use information fusion and introduces the main research content and the innovation of the paper. The second chapter introduces the constituents of new high-speed analyzer and its operating principle, represents the mechanism of microwave drying detailedly. To solve some problems such as sample's charring and cracking, which are prone to appear in microwave drying process, the chapter presents an automatic microwave power controlling method with PWM based on sample's drying process. According to the primary form of sample's moisture escaping curve gained from great quantity of experiments in the microwave drying, the third chapter brings forward and establishes information fusion predicting model of moisture measuring in loss on drying. And the model utilizes the multivariant nonlinear regression and has restricting function with threshold. This chapter also gives the confirming way of predicting model and the multivariant nonlinear regression that is Lenveberg-Marquardt method to solve the parameters in the model, expounds the meaning of information fusion threshold and its function in the predicting algorithm. The information fusion method needn't the prior knowledge of measurand and is adaptive, real-time, stable and accurate. The fourth chapter proves the accuracy and reliability through available measured data and MATLAB emulation. Emulation proves the information fusion predicting method provided by this paper, on the premise of high degree of accuracy, can shorten the measuring time of loss on drying and exactly predict the sample's final moisture content in the initial stage of drying In the end, some innovations and shortages of this paper are generalized...
