Chlorinated natural rubber (CNR) is white or yellow powder, gained from chlorinating reaction with natural rubber or synthetic rubber as raw material. The main method to produce CNR is by the solution or aqueous-phase way. According to Montreal protocol, developed countries had shut down solution-way method settings before 1995 and developing countries before 2006 as well. Aqueous-phase way to produce CNR has not been industrialized yet in China. CNR product with middle and high viscosity is below grade. So it is necessary to develop aqueous-phase production technology. In this experiment, effect of nonionic and cationic surfactant, concentration of HC1 and temperature on reaction was studied. Product was analyzed by IR and SEM. The results show that:1) A3 is the best nonionic surfactant in tests; dosage of A3 should not be less than 0.01 g/mL; 0.015 g/mL is preferred. Adding cationic surfactant is beneficial to chlorinating reaction. When pH-1!, 0.128h-1, 0.141h-1 and 0.148h-1 respectively; activation energy is 7.36kJ /mol and pre-exponential factor is 1.705h-1 in UV chlorinating reaction. Dynamic equation was obtained, so that chlorinity and natural rubber concentration can be forecasted. UV chlorinating reaction mechanism was also presented;...
