| Rockburst is a mine seism that is caused to happen by mining, it is one of natural calamities. It is a dynamic phenomenon, the coal and rock mass or fault in high stress area releases a large of energy when it is disturbed and instability destroy instantaneously, and its characteristic is volcanic shake and explosive destroy. It is not enough in study of affect of gas to the coal seam rockburst at aspects of monitoring and prevention of rockburst. The rockburst coal seams of Wulong Mine, Wangying Mine, Sunjiawan Mine and Haizhou Shaft in Fuxin Mine District are highly gaseous seam that exits a large of gas. On the engineering background of rockburst of Fuxin Mine Distract, its characteristics are induced; the mechanism of gas coal seam rockburst was discussed. The mechanism of the group-occurred rockburst was studied generally. Based on this analysis, a comparative analysis was put forward to common rockburst monitoring methods. The theory of method of drilling bits was analyzed deeply; the unsafe value of drilling bits was confirmed in the condition of taking into account gas affect. The result was verified by actual application in Fuxin Mine District. The comparative analysis was put forward to common rockburst prevention methods. The mechanism of water injection into coal seam to prevent gas coal seam rockburst was studied, and the theory of the driving and replacement of water and gas among coal seam was set up to prevent gas coal seam rockburst. With guide of this theory, the feasibility of water injection into coal seam to prevent gas coal seam rockburst was discussed for Fuxin Mine District, and its actual effect was verified. In condition of synthetically taking into account the affect of gas and geology to the coal seam rockburst, a plan of gas coal seam rockburst monitoring and prevention for Fuxin Mine District was set up.
