The Complex Up-flow Bio-reactor is an another new technology in the field of wastewater treatment, which is a renovation technique for the up-flow biological aeration filter. Its equipment structure integrates the conventional grit and grease removal bridge, hydrolyzing(acidic) tank, aeration tank, secondary clarifier, it is mainly composed of integral equipment of hydrolyzing and aeration area, due to its unique character, it has the advantage of small occupation, economical investment, convenience management, low operating cost. This equipment test aims mainly at two aspects: 1.Reseach for operating effect for theory basic to actual application. 2.Arranging and anglicizing test data, optimizing process operating parameter in order to attaining optimum operating effect. The mean influent flow of the test is 24.1m3/d,proportion of air and water is 6:1,average temperature of effluent is 18.1 ℃ ,mean filtering velocity is 37.8m/d,remaining time of all hydraulics is 4 hr, pH for mean influent is 7.69,cycle period of mean flash back is 3—4 days, intensity of flash back is 39.3 m3/m2 h, course time of flash back is 45min,filtering layer deepness is 3.2m, spherical filtering material diameter is about 5 ㎜,average water quality of influent COD:763mg/L, BOD:300mg/L,SS:297mg/L,TN:139mg/L,NH3—N:59mg/L, TP:14mg/L, under above condition, the reactor's removal rate is COD:85.1 %,BOD:95.0 %,SS:87.2 %,NH3—N:85.5 %,TN:39.2 %,TP:67.8 %, excluding effluent quality COD,TP, effluent quality attains generally secondary discharging standard of . The reactor test of Complex Up-flow Bio-reactor is wholly successful, reaching project goal. This unique equipment structure piles up vertically facilities that were set up, greatly decreasing equipment occupation, auxiliary machines, saving power and maintenance cost. Therefore this set of equipment has the good character of small occupation, economical investment, convenience management, low operating cost as well as removal nitrogen treatment function. In a word, this equipment is very valuable at very high development and application.
