Bending Properties of fabric is an important property, which affect the practical application and the total property of fabric. Recently, with the wide application in every field, bending property has been paid more attention by scholars in the world. So if there is a good way to characterize the practical bending property, it would be a great progress.In this thesis, mechanics model of fabric bending in the cantilever is analyzed, and arithmetic to calculate nonlinear bending moment-curvature relationship using bending configuration curve is set up. And at the same time, on basis of this, a new method which uses the actual bending state during cantilever state of fabric to test the bending property is designed and developer. This method is not only easy to operate like FAST, but also can be used to get nonlinear bending moment-curvature curve as KES.After finishing the design, fixing experiment equipment testing, andanalyzing the result curve of bending moment-curvature, the author has put forward the conception of critical curvature Kw. The nonlinear bending moment-curvature curve is divided into two parts. The slope of linear part is considered as a character parameter of bending rigidity in the system-Bw- It can be used to characterize the bending property of fabric. Further study is done about the comparison of results Bw with the results Bkes got by KES testing method and BFAst got by FAST testing method. And the relativity parameters are respectively 0.907 and 0.888, which show that Bw is reason and can be a good parameter to characterize bending property effectively.What's more, results got in this thesis proves thai though most of the results are near 0.5, Ks is a value which varies with the change of fabric property. That is to say, the method of using Kw to characterize bending property is more suitable than using of KES method.At last, numerical value method is used to validate the credibility of arithmetic.
