Nowadays, in the field of Textile industry, the structure of woven fabric analysis and recognition mainly depend on manual work or special equipments. Though this way is authoritative. It is not easy to manipulate, and hard to master. Moreover, it's time consuming and tedious. So it has become necessary to research on how to get and analyze fabric construction parameters, weave structure with computer automatically.In this work, we provide some algorithms to get and analyze fabric construction parameters and weave structure using Digital Image Processing and Pattern Recognition technology, and develop the flow and technique route of automatic fabric analysis and recognition. First, we analyzed the method of fabric image getting and pre-processing to represent more information of fabric construction parameters and weave structure. Then we depict particularly the algorithm of getting fabric construction parameters-warp and weft densities, the tex of warp andweft and cloth cover: The Fourier transform converts the fabric image into power spectrum image. Using the relationship between the peak value of power spectrum image and warp and weft densities, we can calculate the distance of the peak value(Frequence value) to get warp and weft densities;the tex of warp and weft can be calculated with yarn diameter. By selecting a gray value as the threshold with optimum threshold algorithm, we can convert the fabric image to black and white. While the black represent yarn. Then we can calculate the diameter of yarn, we get cloth cover by the same method. In the end, we contrast the result got by algorithm with the result calculated manually.To recognize fabric weave structure. We provided a algorithm that can obtain basic texture unit characters. Then we use matching algorithm to get a basic texture unit characters, and find the basic repeating structure with autocorrelation function. Meanwhile, we studied the mathematic model of pattern draft building and how to get the necessary parameters from basic repeating structure to build pattern draft. So we realize recognition of pattern draft. Then we analyze the feature and advantage of this algorithm. Finally we study the character of colorful woven fabric. Based on the algorithm of fabric construction parameters obtaining and fabric weave structure recognition, we build the mathematic model of Color and Weave Effect and provide recognition method of it.The algorithms and technique routes we provided above have certain theoretical value and use for reference. Especially pattern draft recognition method has some innovation in this field. For more complicated Derivative weave fabric. It also has a good recognition result. The Color and Weave Effect recognition method is also useful and practical. So it's valuable for popularize.
